Introduction
Dress Code
The Curragh Golf Club has one of the finest clubhouses in the Leinster area. Here is just some of the story behind the new clubhouse. The Annual meeting of 1990 decided to proceed with a complete re-modelling of the clubhouse, to meet the needs of 500 Ordinary members, 160 Lady Associates and more than 250 other categories of members. The meeting agreed to allow the committee to borrow £300,000 and a plan drawn up by Mrs. Patricia Ennis was accepted. The major priorities were to improve the locker rooms and toilets; extend the bar and dining areas; increase the size of the billiards room.

Work on the building commenced in July 1992, Sydney Strong having been selected as the main contractors. With the completion of work in May 1993, the Curragh Golf club is proud to have a modern well-appointed clubhouse which reflects the ethos and traditions of the club. David Ritchie and his golfing companions of 1852 would have been proud to see how well the second century of the club has begun.

There is an extensive practice area at the Curragh. The facility includes a full 250 yard driving range, golf nets and practice bunkers. It is the perfect place for a pre-round warm up. There is also a putting green overlooking the first hole if you need to work on your short game.

The Curragh has changing rooms large enough to cater for societies of almost any size. There are also full showering facilities available.

Proper dress must be worn in the Clubhouse and on the Course. Smart, clean and neat casual dress is essential at all times.

Unacceptable attire, in the Clubhouse includes shorts, vests, collarless tracksuits, canvas runners and caps. Shoes worn on the course are not accepted in the clubhouse.

Unacceptable attire on the course includes vests, shirts with no sleeves, football or athletic shorts. Tops must be worn at all time. In summer no bare shoulders. Persons who do not comply will be asked to leave these areas.
