| Balfour - Captain Balfour, whose father was Captain at St. Andrews in 1842, was the first known Captain of the Curragh G.C. in 1887. See photo in Captain’s gallery. The drive on this 348 yards Par 4 must be on the left of the fairway in order to get some view of the green. Anything to the right will involve a blind second shot over trees. With the fairway rising sharply the second shot will require extra club if you want to hit the elevated green. |
